One Piece Windows???

Anyone had any luck finding one-piece widows for Blazers?

They are not being made. There just isn't enough support for the window in a Blazer door. WES

That doesn't mean you couldn't do it if you really want to. There are a couple of options for the glass: 1. Have the glass cut from laminated safety glass. The window won't be as resistant to breakage. 2. Make a pattern or have your glass shop make a pattern and send it out to get a piece of tempered glass made.

I'm looking at doing tempered 35% gray glass for my top, and the side windows will run me about $60 each through my local glass shop.

Then you'd have to fabricate the glass run channel. There are several people on the 67-72 truck message board that have done it. You could do a search and figure it out.

You can get the one pieces window kit from Brothers truck parts $399.00 Order the one piece window for a c-10 you'll need to do some mods. to it. the felt for the truck are longer to fit the whole door. Just cut to fit your Blazer door. I'm waiting to get some play money together and buy the onepiece set with power windows.

I did this conversion in 1991. We custom cut the laminated glass and put in power window kit.

I've seen this subject come up many times over the years and it always ends with there being not enough support for the window as it raises/lowers. Last summer, there was a push to develop a kit, but it didn't come to fruition.

If you can figure out a way to make it work, you'd probably have a marketable kit.

Boardmember Captkaos has some kits that he is selling that are supposed to work in Blazers. Check out the pics in post 105 in this thread.

jrdv - Thats one slick looking setup!

Congrats!

Now did you do the conversion yourself or was it from a kit? Also the mirror just looks like a match made in heaven.

And great touch with the power windows while your in there. Is that the kit from Classic Parts from KC, MO?
