LWB Bed for sale- 1972
 

I have a 1972 LWB bed for sale. The sides are rust free and ding free, the bed had a camper cover on it for entire life and there are screw holes in the top of the rails, wheel tubs have a couple of dings but are not beat up- the bed had capet in the floor, head gate is solid and very few dings. The only problem with the bed is the floor, there are two rust holes approx. 2 inches in size at each rear corner just over the rear sill, from a leak in the camper and the carpet holding moisture- I have a patch to fix both spots. This would be a great bed for someone who is building a LWB. The truck that it came off of was a 70,000 mile original. I also have a tailgate that I will let go with bed for additional money. For bed less gate $500 or best resonable offer, with the gate $700. Gate has been blasted and was solid but dinged up. Will post pictures Tomorrow afternoon. No shipping! Please reply in thread only. UPDATE first gate is sold (local) I do have a second gate that has a few pin holes on the inside bottom (very fixable) gate is dinged a bit but not destroyed- $100 or best reasonable offer.

Looked at the bed when I was at Harold's house yesterday. I must admit it has two of the best bedsides I have ever saw. Its a great bed, thought about looking for a LWB project just to get it.

I am waiting on a local gentleman until sunday on the bed. After that it is open and up for grabs. Ol' blue I am located in Canton, NC 28716- 2 Anne Street for your map quest search. i really don't have a way to get the bed anywhere- I helped the guys who got the cab in return for the haul home- I never intended on buying the bed I only wanted the gate but package deal or no deal, so now I have a bed. The cab went to some where in Penn. so no cab, sorry. Gn4u2c2 you are next in line after Ol'blue- are you interested in the gate? Va72C10 depending on what Grendel, Ol' blue and GN4u2c2 want with bed determines if the gate makes it to you- I will let you know. Va72C10 The first gate is gone. Let me see what I can bear to part with I have 2 more - one from the yellow bed and another that I bought from a boardmember here a couple of years ago. I will post pictures of both in a few minutes. Harold

Thanks, i'll be out for a few hours but will check in later. I am going to meet with the guy who will be helping me with the body work and work up a game plan and pricing. A better gate than what i have is definitely needed!

Other gate pictures- 1st is absolutely solid w/no rust but has alot of dings on the inside- they have been pulled with stud puller and have light filler to bring them out, this gate needs to be finished and was the one I planned on using for my 4x4 project- $300 and the second gate is the reason I bought the long bed, the gate has 1 pin hole (pictured) that I could find and the top is perfect! There are a couple of minor dings on the inside of the gate but is otherwise super solid- $300 no shipping on either of these, don't really want to sell but I will. Let me know, Harold

All this cash is buring a hole in my pocket.. I am going to look at a complete truck sunday with a supposed mint bed for $600.000 whole truck. we shall see...... I have been told that before. I sure want that bed but I can't let this other one slip by then find out yours is sold also... just keep us updated.
