A-pillar Gauge Pod???

Does anyone know if one is made for these old square body trucks? I know there are several companies that make them for late model trucks but I can't seem to find one for these older trucks.

If there isn't one made, I wonder of the a-pillar is radically different than a late model truck?? Might be able to make one for a late model work if they aren't too different. I doubt this will be the case though. That would be too easy.

Sorry if this is a "newb" question but I did search for "gauge pod," "a pillar," and "extra gauges" all to no avail hence my post.

Thanks for the help.

And modifying one from an 88-98 wouldn't work as the pillars are at a much different angle on them.

Ya, there was a group buy thread awhile back but the poster couldn't get the company to make enough of them or something.. :ito:

how hard is it for a DIY-er to do fiberglass stuff??? You can probably see wher I'm going with this. I'm affraid it would be quite difficult to get a mold ready not to mention lay the resin/glass over with all the differing contours. Thoughts???

I have one from a Dodge Cummin's truck, seems to fit reasonably well actually.

I was planning on using some fiberglass to meld the two peices together and make it look like one. I am putting my boost gauge and pyrometer into it for the turbocharger on my 6.2L

I'll try to remember to snap a picture of it tomorrow evening. No promises though, I tend to forget about stuff like this...

That was what my plan was anyway, I think the plastic ones are real thin and flimsy.
