brougham model?

was there such a thing as a brougham package in these trucks? I see a round headlight short step around town with brougham chrome lettering on the sides in front of the doors. It looks like it has fancy interior also. I know they have a beaumont and a gentleman jim, but I've never seen this. thanks bob

Re: brougham model?

i have never heard of thay and i dont see any mentioned in my books... brougham was something that chrysler marketed on some of their cars like the valliant/dart and the fury after 1976 they dropped brougham and went to permeir someone prolly grafted an emblem from there
is there any way to get some pics of the truck/lettering?

I guess that would make it the Cadillac of trucks . Sounds like someones idea of customizing one of these trucks . Frank

Re: brougham model?

Could also be a regional/dealership package...definately not offered by GM as far as I know.

Re: brougham model?

Could be a conversion package. The custom interior sounds like something the conversion companies did.

Re: brougham model?

Oldsmobile also used "Brougham" on Cutlasses. Didn't it have something to do with a half vinyl top or something like that?

Ford also used the Brougham package, didn't they? I seem to remember my mom having an LTD Brougham at one point. I could be thinking of another car though.

Re: brougham model?

Chrysler used it too. We had a 75 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham when I was little.

I remember now. It wasn't the LTD, it was her 1974 Mustang II with the 2.8L V-6 in it that was a Brougham Edition. Landau top and all.

My parents had an '81 Monte Carlo which i got to drive some when i was 16 that had the "Brougham" or Landau top.

I hated the top, although in its defense, the car had a full frame and a v-8 (2 bbl 305). Wish i had it back

I think the Mustang II was the Ghia (as in Italian coach builder, same people who helped with the Karmann Ghia) rather than Brougham. I'm embarrassed to say I had a Mustang II...

Re: brougham model?

You are correct, ElG. It was a Ghia. Nice little car for what it was (an underpowered pony car). Too bad I wrecked it.. :(
