Brake Light, and Turn Signal "Troubleshooting"

On my 75 C-10 the brake light, and turn signal ONLY on the drivers side aren't working. Sometimes they work, but most of the time (like 90%) they don't work. I'm not sure how to describe it, so ask me questions as needed. I have no idea where to start looking, and would like to get my truck road "legal" ASAP.

Thanks in advance,

Jared

Most likely is wireing in the rear especially if you have a trailer connection made there. Look for corrosion (green deposits). If you find green, fix it. Make sure you cut the wireing back far enough to eliminate any traces and when you reconnect either solder and use shrink tubeing or use heat shrink crimp connecrtors.

There is also a ground that is under the taillight housing . Take the tail light cover off and then remove the housing . There is a ground under it . I think that the trailer connection would be the first thing I would check , followed by grounds , followed by changing the light socket itself . I have seen the socket gop bad before . Frank
