Hi to every body I got my hands on a 69 4x4 short bed that has a sb 3speed and drum breaks all around.My question is I need to put disk breaks up front or which years interchange for the whole front diff new to 4x4 .one more question which would be better 4 speed, automatic or just leave it 3 on the tree thanks

Any gm front axle will bolt in up till they went ifs on the front.If you get a corp 10 bolt get the spring plates from the same truck as they are a little different than ones from a dana 44.As for the auto,4spd,3spd deal.Its a matter of choice and parts availability.Do you like shifting gears or prefer to put it in drive and go? I like both so I get a 4spd in my K20 and turbo 350s in my others.I'd rather have a 4spd than a 3spd manual on the column or floor,but that's just me.
