torque converter??
 
i have a 350 out of a 68-69 camaro nothing special as far as "built"
competition cam, mallory hei dist,edelbrock alum intake,new edelbrock 650 carb ,new fact style fuel pumpetc etc...
very mild almost stock just a fresh rebuild for a solid driver
350 automatic tranny
205 transfer case
dont know what gears?? factory i assume 3.08-3.73 ??
and this 72 jimmy is one gutless mother
can the t-converter be bad and how do i go about testing it
anybody know anything about this thanks

What size tires are you running? A 35" tire with 3.08 gears will feel like a pig. Even 3.73 gears will lug a bit with 35" tires. I run 4.10 gears with 35" Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips (measure a true 35"), and get a good balance of performance and highway cruising economy. I also run a TH350 trans. Hope this helps.
