72' 4X4 long bed build "old yeller"
5 Attachment(s)
My am rebuilding/ restoring my dads first pickup, a 1972 1/2 ton 4x4. My dad ordered the truck in 72. All of the work is being done by Allreds Custom Rods in NC. The project started in nov of 06 and is progressing slowly, I hope to be finished this summer. The truck has the original motor, 350 with a 4 speed. The enging rebuild included a new/ steeper cam and dart heads, and should produce between 400-425 hp. I am trying to keep the outside of the truck completely original but I have taken a few liberties with the interior. I also added A/C. I plan to install a 40/20/40 bench seat out of a late model truck. I have also added a flat screen in the dash and a new set of white face gauges.
Attached are some pics along the way. I am looking for sugestions on what kind/size of wheels would look best. Please reply with suggestions. Thanks. |

Welcome to the site, your truck looks good so far. Are you going to leave it stock height? You could go with Truck Rally's with 32's or American Racings "Mohave" on 32" BF Goodrich Mud Terrains.
