tach wiring diagram?
1 Attachment(s)
i have recently replaced my original dash with the hard to find tach dash -
there is a 3 prong plug on the back with the wires clipped off (black, borw and pink wires). where do these run to? pic included: |
Re: tach wiring diagram?
also, i have been running a set of sunpro gauges for my temp reading- how does the temp sensor hook up to the cluster? followed the traces and it seems to be a brown wire (if this helps)

Re: tach wiring diagram?
If you take a really close look at the back side of your cluster right where the tach terminals are at you will see the following marks on yours as well......
12V GND COIL http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1200514397 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1200514397 As you look at the terminals on the back of the tach, you'll see two (2) side-by-side and a third one below. Going clock-wise from the top most terminal they hook up as follows; 12V switched power Ground Tach signal- Run this lead through the firewall directly to the tach lead terminal on the H.E.I. DISTRIBUTOR CAP. |
