Air intake mods
I finished this project on my 83 pickup.
I'm preparing to drive the truck 1500 miles! Wonder how much gas that's gonna cost. I had some free time to finish the ram air box installation. It took some time to find a few parts to fit. Everything turned out great. I'm going for a test drive after this post!! http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/52/652...3ejhBDZ_th.jpg 81-82 bumper grill air intakes http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/58/758...3wAFPiX_th.jpg http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/63/663...3dfLzrN_th.jpg Final install pictures start here: http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/69/469...3XPHitD_th.jpg I hope you don't have dial up!! :metal: Has anyone else done something for air intake? |

Re: Air intake mods
Yeah!.... Ya gotta let us know how well it works. Sweet looking install. I just got my Airbox delivered last week. Haven't gotten all the small crumbs to assemble it yet tho. How is that flex hose to work with?:ito:

Re: Air intake mods
So far nothing but city driving. I have noticed that engine temps are down a little.
The aluminum duct is nothing but dryer stuff. I'm look at buying some waste or water drain ducting from Homedepot. I would prefer black. The hose does hold its shape very well. Even at idle, you notice engine vibration though it. Probably more than normal due to stiffer poly motor mounts and ZZ4 cam loppy idle. Open the hood and the hoses jump out at you!! |
