1970 a/c ?
i have a 1970 c20 that im workin on, i pulled the a/c unit that was mounted under the dash because it had no compressor and a few other pieces. was this aftermarket, dealership add-on, or factory? would it be worth saving, it looks a little rough from use, and how does this affect getting parts for my truck(a/c, no a/c cab) thanks for any help identifying, here are some pics for yall.

Re: 1970 a/c ?
Looks like it was dealer installed, or aftermarket. It is not factory GM. It has no bearing on the parts you need for the factory unit. If you had a factory set-up, it would be worth it to fix it up, but if you are starting from scratch, I would go with classic auto air, or vintage air for a system, because factory stuff is expensive and you have to collect it piece by piece unless you find someone else selling a complete set up

They bring a few bucks at swap meets & probably internet sales. You can get the factory underhood parts from a salvage & some fittings & hose & make it work very reasonably.
