Vortech 350 Swap?

Have any of you seen a complete vortech swap, fuel injection and all. reson is I have the oppurtunity(sp?) to get a motor out of a 97 z-71 the motor needs a complete rebuild and some minor stuff.
such as alt. ac comp. new distributor. bla bla bla. but I can get this motor fo $100, and can pic it up this weekend. I'm just not sure if i should use the injection or contuniue to look for a tpi setup. does any know any sites that have and info on these motors? thanks in advance.

I've seen one being done but didn't look too much into the particulars of it...the guy doing it was Rick over at www.****************.com, it's long distance for you probably but I would give him a call and pick his brain about it. Trust me, he knows his stuff.

Just fixing your link Project1970, looks like you hit the comma, after the .com

Thanks for the info guys, but after talking to a friend that has worked on these. I think I am just gonna stick with the vortech heads and a tpi set up. :)

GREEN70-72,

I have a TPI off a 87 IROC/GTA. It is off a 350, so it does have the larger injectors. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Oh yeah, it does have all the wiring and computer! I could send you pics also.

Later,
Chad

Not a bad idea, but last I checked, Vortec TPI bases were in the range of $400.
