shift pattern problem th 400
 

Just put my new th 400 in and the shift pattern is backwards 1 st is park and park is 1 st evey thing works good i have a rev valve body with a break in it

That is what a reverse valve body means, doesn't it?? It reverses the pattern, I thought?

i thats what i thought but its just drive gears i had the shifter cable on the wrong side of the bracket the reverse patten gos p r n1 2 d instead of p,r.n.d.2.1

What kind of V/B do you have ? I've never seen one that reversed everything . On my Hipster brake it just reverses 1 2 and 3 .
