Fall guy truck

Hello iam new to the message board and just want to say it looks like a great place to hang out. I also have a question about the Fall guy truck from the old tv series from the 1980's. How much would one of the original fall guy trucks be worth ? I have also heard that one of the original Fall guy trucks sold on Ebay a few years ago, how much did that one sale for, anyone know ? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the welcome.

The reason i ask is because i bought a 1984 GMC Sierra Classic 4X4 with a 4 inch lift form an individual who won the truck in a auction years back when the tv show ended. It has the fall guy logo on the hood and has the original chrome roll bar still on it with the KC lights and the rare 16.5 chrome wagon wheels/mus tires on it. It even has Lee Majors" signature inside the cab who played Colt Seavers in the show. I was just wondering how rare the truck is and if it is of any value these days. I really love the truck and it a pleasure to drive. Thanks

well to be honest its not worth a ton now except to a collector and i dont know that i would drive it. Id try to save it some and if and when lee majors dies the thing may be worth considerably more as fans would be interested in memoribilia. If it were mine id prolly use it for a show truck if its in good shape
How about some pics i remember the show and the truck as being brown but i was a kid then and forget what it looked like

Wont be worth as much now....

I like those trucks and would like to see pictures, but its one of those things.. once you modify it, it wont be worth as much as if it was exactly as it appeared on the show.

Please dont take this the wrong way...

I agree. It's certainly worth more than a "non-Fall Guy" truck to the right buyer... until it's original form is compromised. On a larger scale, it would be like tubbing-out an original Bandit Trans Am.

I would take several pictures of it and do some research. I agree that if you modify it, the value will go down especially if you can't return it to original.

Welcome from NH

I think the lifted 4-by from the movie Varsity Blues, sold for about 15k, (it was a nice truck) The Larry-mobile from "Larry the cable guy: The Health Inspector" movie sold for 11k,(and it was the "Larry mobile") so who knows. If you can document it to be an FG truck though, i probably would not do anything to it , the best dvd player would be one that sticks on the dash or under the visors with velcro and is easily removable ----- i mean, its not an Orange '70 Charger or anything, but it would still have the potential to be a 20k rig ----- I dont know the opinion of the rest of the board, but the 73-87 4x4 market tops out around 7500-10k for driver quality rigs , unless the truck is really special
