GMC Chassis and Chevy Chassis...Not The Same

Well, I've have completed a Leaf Spring Swap to a Coil Springs. Also, added a Super Track Bar and 6" Drop Coils. When installing the Coils , something was not right - they would not install straight up and down. Long story short after allot of cussing and more cussing, I decided to call someone. I called Wes from Classic Heartbeat. To sum it up, he told me that the GMC Chassis and the Chevy Chassis had a few differences. This was one of them. In the end I had to drill an extra hole and add some reinforcement for the coil install. COULD THIS BE ANOTHER CHASSIS DIFFERENCE? I am trying to install the Automatic Tranny Linkage for a Turbo 350. I see 2 holes for the Z-Bracket on the frame. But the bracket w/ the rod appears to be a few inches off. So I can't complete the install. Chassis Issue or not installing it correctly? Anyone have pics of this install? Here are the parts I am installing. The rod is 22" long and piece with the spring is on the tranny already. Sorry it's long winded. Thanks, Harry
