No I took my Dad back to Arkansas. He came down and we installed the old Air and power windows in the 65.

Well, at least it's not too big of a trailer. I don't like trailers on shortbeds.
How far is Fort Smith from you?
Have fun

The round trip miles was 1325.

Re: First Road Trip

The old Air kit was easy to install. The compressor was bad. I had to replace it. The only problem that I ran into was the local vendor said he had the complete old air kit. But he only orders the inside the cab kit and then makes up the generic kit for the firewall forward. This causes several problems and a lot more fabrication was needed. I also had the compressor on the driver side with the 454 motor in the truck.

Hope the trip was fun... there's been a few other members that have had some wild rides on their road trips lately.

I'm interest in the MPG as well... :D

I'm digging those wheels on your truck also. I passed on buying a set about 8 months ago and now I'm thinkin that was a bad decision. Glad the trip went well for ya.

That's one heck of a trip. Cool! When I first painted my truck, I was living in Henderson, Nevada. My parents were living in Albuquerque. I was excited to show my Dad so I packed a bag a some extra gas and went! 1200 miles, round trip. There's nothing like taking a road trip in an oldie. These trucks are made to be driven...
