1960 GMC 261 cu/in to adapt to Turbo 350?

My daughter brought home a 1960 GMC with a 261 cu/in(6 cyl) and a 3 spd standard and she wants to convert it over to a Turbo 350.I know or think I would need a trans adaptor of some sort or is there a kit of some sort out there?I remember many years ago something abought using a cast itron powerglide adaptor but thats about all I can recall.I have a 327 here and she could put that in no problem but she likes those big 261's and wants to keep it as stock looking as possible..

cool truck, even cooler that it belongs to a girl. does she do the wrenchin'?
my wifes first vehicle was a long fleet '64 Chevy with a blown sixer and granny 4 speed. her dad bought it for her for $150 and bought a replacement sixer for it for an additional $150. only stipulation was she had to swap engines herself, i was there for moral support and any instruction she needed, but couldn't physically do anything. she had it handled in an afternoon and was so proud to be driving her $300 truck. that's all it took for me, knew i found the right one, that was about 15 years ago

My daughter does a lot of the work herself but her boyfriend is a streetrodder, motor head as well so it works out well.We have a 38x50 shop and between my wifes 79 vette sitting at rest,my daughters projects and her boyfriends projects and my race crew minor jobs the shop gets real busy......Sometimes my race truck gets pushed around in there! ;-)
