Rookie here!!!!!!!

Hi there.A few questions for you air guys that im sure mightve been answered on here b4.But what the hell i need the help.Going to bag the front using slam specialties re 7s i think oh ya this is on a 75 stepside stock arms also. For the time being im going to go with the sloooooooooowwwwww way of using the schrader valve technique.one per each side .Im using 3in drop spindles and when aired down i need this to sit as low as possible. What should i use the solid plates to mount bag to or use a 1 1/2 bag mount.Oh ya it has the sway bar still on it should i keep it or ditch it ,not going to be driven to often...thanks for any advice and sorry for the long post.

I used this set and cut the cups 1/2". If you cut more you are going into rubbing problems between LCA and bag.

Personally, i would use the upper plates. That's what I have, they work fine. You can also make them yourself - I did.

Speaking from experience (and I just threw mine out) I would try to retain the sway bar.

There are several schools of thought on front bags and how they are mounted. I'll let the experts discuss their theories here.

I will suggest that you keep the sway bar. Air suspension needs the additional anti-roll control that it offers. You can buy a set of lowered brackets from ECE, or you can bolt the clamps directly to the frame. Either way will get you the additional clearance that you need.

I used that plate/cup kit. Works well. You don't weld the cup in. It's just sits in the arm pocket and is held in by the weight of the truck on the bag. I cut my cups down to a total height of 1.5" but your arms might be different. You will have to drill holes for the plate bolts. RE7's are a good choice. Definately keep the sway bar. I had to trim the ends off mine to keep it out of the bags when aired out. You may or may not need to, but definately check.
