Cragar Wheels (info?)
Hey I have been looking online for awhile now and have yet to find info on back spacing available for the Cragar 346 Series Street Lite wheels (steel chrome plated)
http://www.cragar.com/346stli.html I have contacted Cragar website many a time, just to get no response. They never even sent me a catalog. Anyway I guess if you guys cant help here, I will go into a local shop and ask them to check their manual. Thanks. I currently have 15x8's but may change size when I buy new wheels. If I can find these wheels in different sizes and backspacing, I'm going to sell my 15x8's Weld Draglites (aluminum). |
why are you selling the draglites?
anyhow, i do like the cragars;) they look snazzy |
One of the draglites is bent. I dont know how it happened but it sucks big time. To reround the wheel it will cost about $125.00. The wheel brand new cost me $212 w/o shipping (came from Kansas Factory?). Anyway this is the second Weld draglite (front passenger) to have a problem. The first I broke doing donuts in the pets mart parking lot near my house. That was a very sad time. It was raining and my rim was broken, I had no spare to put on it. Plus my jack wouldnt even fit under it. When the rim broke it busted my brand new tire (1 day old). I was able to get Big O to give me a new tire under road hazard warranty (The road hazard being me :) )
To make a long story short Weld racing no longer makes these wheels in 5 on 5 pattern. So I couldnt even buy a new wheel if I wanted to. I have ran many a search and can find one in my size and back space. I dont know if its the aluminum in these wheels or what, but the Cragars are steel and chrome plated. I think the steel will hold up better to abuse. Plus they look almost identical. I even read somewhere that draglites are for drag racing only. |
