Pic of a '66 fuse block

any one have a pic of one in a truck? I am trying to figure out where the dash light wiring goes, it was hooked up to the acc. spade on my ignition so the dash lights were always on with the key. I have a diagram, but it doesn't show specifics on the fuse block, just shows the gray wire going to the block. I hooked the wire to a spade on the panel fuse, but they don't work, so I'm thinking something else may be in the wrong place.:uhmk:
thanks, joe

Have you tried finding a spade that has no power on it until you pull the lights? Or are you looking for the factory correct position?

Thanks Anthony, the two wires I'm looking for, I don't see in your pic. a gray and dark green wire that plug onto the right side of the block.

I moved the above thread to FAQ so it'll be easier to find.

Here's a pic of the one in my 66. There is a gray wire that is plugged in on the upper right but I did not see a dark green wire. Maybe this will help...

Thanks TimE, that is where I thought the gray wire went:thumbs:
maybe I have '64 or '65 wiring, it matches the '64 diagram I have

Re: Pic of a '66 fuse block

ok, figured it out
thanks all!!
on my truck there is a dark green wire from the headlight switch that hooks to one panel fuse spade and the gray goes on the other. the dark green is the feed for the panel lights. I had it hooked up correctly, but the varistor is not making good contact so after playing with it some my dash lights work:metal:.....just don't turn the dimmer!!:lol:

Re: Pic of a '66 fuse block

Glad you got it worked out Joe. Now fix the dimmer issue and you'll be good to go.

Re: Pic of a '66 fuse block

thanks TimE!
that and the fuel sender. I got it hooked up correctly, it was reading just above empty, which could have been right...i just went and got gas, the gauge didn't move, so guess I will be pulling it from the tank in the next day or two. my wiring is good and my gauge works(as far as i can tell) correctly, so thinking it is either a prob with the resistance(hope it is just dirty) or maybe the float has a hole in it and is full of gas
