need seatbelts that look original

What options do I have for seat belts? I'm currently redoing the entire interior and changing colors to gray. I'm not sure I want to reuse my black seat belts. I after market belt I've found have all had big metal buckles on them. In fact I have a brand new set, just like these. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2.../seatbelts.jpg
Does anyone know where I can get something different?

What about repop truck belts. They are the same as Blazer, but the passenger side plastic casing isn't short for access to the rear seat. Center bench belts should work for the rear seat.

Does anyone have a picture of the belts in Bouncy's link? The picture in the catalog is not very good.

Do you have a complete Blazer set? (All 5) I have a complete set in White (5)
that could be made grey very easy. I might consider swapping pending pic's.

I like Wesco seat belts. They are not stock looking but they are reasonably priced and come with the mounting tab sewn on like normal seat belts. I have seen seat belts that you have to thread into the mounting tab which is real lame.

The belts in the truck shop add are Wesco belts. I would buy direct and skip the middle man markup.

I only have new belts for the front, sorry.

Thanks for the link. I'm glad you showed it to me. They had larger pictures and it confirmed my original concerns. These look a little too much like "early nineties Honda belts" for my truck. Here's the example they had. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...tbeltcheap.jpg I was hoping to find something that looked a little more original. Heck, I see people using them as belts for their pants, why can't I find them for my blazer?

Hotrodhomi,

You might try The Truck Shop in Crossville, TN (800-237-8353). I just worked with Jason to build me an original color matched set for the front of my blazer. The previous owner had changed the fronts out for non stock units and left the backs original. The backs were very nice, so I needed some front ones that looked good too. Dark Olive interior isn't the most sought after color, so I was having a hard time finding good used ones. Jason worked with me to make sure the ones he could build would fit the bill. They came complete with bolts, boots, clasps, and new webbing. I just installed them in my blazer last night and am happy with how they turned out. He also dyed a set of defroster outlets too since the previous owner had put chrome ones in - they look great too.

Since he can dye the colored buckle faces and boots, I imagine that he can put a set of Grey ones together for you too. Give him a call.

He also said that I could send them back to him if I didn't like them when they showed up, but I won't need to take him up on that offer.

It is still at the upholstery shop. They might be done tomorrow, but Tuesday is more likely. I'll post when I get it back. :bann:
