manifold paint & underhood shine ?

I have a set of stock exhaust manifolds to put on and want to smooth them up and apply some paint. I plan to grind them down some but as for the paint I know Eastwood and some others have an exhaust manifold paint. My question is how long can I expect it to stay on. I don't think I want to spend for ceramic coating. This truck will not be a DD.

As for painting inner fenders, radiator support, etc, what do you prefer? Factory semi gloss black with body colored firewall.
Painting most everything under the hood body color.
Or using gloss black on the inner fenders and core support.
Bottomside of hood black or body color.
My truck will be sort of Admiral blue outside and the firewall is already painted gloss met black but I am not opposed to change. I am leaning toward continueing with the met black for inner fenders & core support.

For something that looks really good and that should last for a very long time, I would use por-15 manifold gray. The one in the pic has not been fired up yet so it has not cured yet so is should lighten up some.

As for under the hood stuff, That is just a personal choice you have to make. I would use semi-gloss just like the General did.

Be care full grinding down the manifolds as they do crack easily.

I'm not wanting to make them completely slick just remove some of the bumps. That por 15 finish is like what I wish to have and hope it lasts a long time.

I sandblasted mine and then used the Eastwood stuff. I must not have prep it right because there was rust poping through with in two weeks.

I sand blasted mine and used heat paint. As you can see, I didn't do something right? Gonna check into that POR 15 manifold gray. I like that. I painted the inner fenders and the radiator support gloss black.

That's what I want to avoid Dan. Looking at your pic I see another place we can use por15. The master cylinder.
I am leaning toward gloss black on the inner fenders and core support as well.
