Brothers one piece window questions

First I want to say customer service and the parts from Brothers was excellent.
My problem or question is my drivers side window works great when I am stopped or even at low speeds once I am moving the top of the window seems like it sucks out as I try to roll it up it will get about 2 inches from the top and is sticking outside of the track. There is alot of "play" or movement in the glass. once I stop or slow way down it works fine. Does everybody else have this problem or did I do something slightly wrong or is there a fix. It is a bit anoying
thanks
Dave

I too have this same problem with my Brothers kit. I read a post here a month or two ago on how to fix it. They said to go to a local glass shop and purchase a thinner material that adhears the glass to the window sash. This will allow the glass to sit further into the sash than the thick black rubber/sticky stuff that comes with the kit. I don't know who it was that did the write-up, but maybe they will chime it. -Nate

well I dont know that I would say they suck because they made my truck a ton quieter, I tried my passenger side tonight and it worked fine so I wll look at the differences.

That rubber is thick I almost never got mine together and I bet that will help I know it is jsut barly in the channel

Plus I like the way they look. I do hope I can solve it since it can be anoying...

Let us know how you fix it, I just installed the same kit but I'm waiting till my truck is painted to install the glass.

I have the kit in my 71' and will NOT be putting it in my current project. Other than the look...IMHO, they suck.

This is strange, I have had zero problems with mine. I didn't use the rubber channel, I used windshield "glue" to secure the windows. Not sure if that is what made the difference.

I notice that this kit does not include the small metal insert in the corner of the window. That is what I do not like about the Brothers kit, however the Brothers kit is less expensive.

I cant say on the 67-72 trucks but a freind of mine has the http://www.onepieceproducts.com/Prod...ductid=OPP6772 version in a 74 c10. Its a very nice product the fit and quality seams factory in that truck. I would guess from the 73-87 trucks and the 67-72 the quality should be simular.

I had to call him to ask what kit he used, one thing he did though was tack in some small diamiter pencil rod on the inside of the door near the top to prevent oil can effect. But he did that b4 the kit so he couldnt say if it was nessisary or not. Said he just wanted to be sure cuz once he gutted the old wing window stuff the door seamed to flimsy.
