Re: wheel Size
I know that the stock 15x8 rally wheels have a 4" backspacing so the depth shouldn't be a probelm. I would think that the diameter of the tire would fit too. The outside of the tire may stick out a little farther than the fender well though (2" more than a stock 15x8). Hopefully some other guys have first hand experience.

Re: wheel Size
these old trucks have alot of room for big tires and rims. you shouldnt have any problem fitting those rims/tires on your truck and still having some room left over. i have 20x9 with 5" of backspacing, and 2" spacers... which brings it to exactly where 17x10 with 4" backspacing would be. they fit like a glove! (and fit as they should)

heres some pictures that i had available.. they dont show the rim fitment perfectly, but it does the trick. its got a static lowering job, flip kit and drop hangers in the rear (total of 8 or 9") and drop spindles and coils in the front, (4" coils, 2.5" spindles) as you can see there is still room left over... but the worst case scenerio is that youd have to bend up your fender lips a little more, which is very minor. hope this helps!!
