6 cylinder help

My 1959 chevy apache has a 235 6 cylinder in it and i need some help with it. It bogs down and misses on the straits when you give it about half throttle but when you come to a hill it runs perfect. I've tried everything I could think of but I can't get it to run right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Have you cleaned out the tank?
Have you cleaned out the carb bowl?

Hows the oil pressure on the flat and up hill?

check for a vacum leak it will mess with the air fuel mix and bog down.. maybe a hose moves when going up hill... does it have vacum windshield wipers?

yes it has vacum wipers. I'll have to check all the vacum lines out. I'll also look and see what the oil pressure is on the hills and on the flats. Thanks for the suggestions

plug off the vacuum lines going to the wipers and see if it makes a difference. if no change i would suspect dirt ao weak acc. pump in carb
