'71 GMC Longhorn Interest

I just want to throw this out. I see the mixed feelings about Longhorns so I am not sure I want to acquire another "project" if it is not feasable. I know a guy locally who wants to get rid of a 1971 GMC longhorn. It was a project that was started but the owner died and hence has sat for a few years. The tires are almost new and have been stored and covered. I think they are 16's. It is an original California tuck. It is a big block, auto trans (both gone), A/C cab, wooden bed, saddle tank truck. It has power steering and brakes. Standard interior and gauges but it has seats from something else in it. The frame was cleaned and repainted. It has a Corporate rear with leafs. The disc brakes, "A" arms, springs, linkages,.etc. are all in the bed. The fenders are gone. All of the parts, less fenders engine and trans are in the bed along with all of the A/C stuff..brackets and all. I think it has a coula spare doors as well. No rust detected anywhere and the bed is straight. it has the large script "G-M-C" tailgate and a heavy welded bumper with a receiver.
Overall in pretty decent shape

It seems to be about 75% there.
I have enough projects now but maybe.....?

Thanx,
Bud

I may be wrong, but I don't think GMC made longhorns - ?

sounds like a very nice parts truck to me. Not much there. frame, cab, bed, rear suspention and assumed front suspention in pieces
How cheap is it?
Yes, GMC made longhorns, but they were called custom campers, otherwise same truck. *NOT* to be confused with the custom camper option package that was nothing more than HD shocks springs, tires and a sway bar. They were both badged the same.

I can get it for $300.00 bucks but I need a trailer, helpers, time and space to store it. Maybe a good parts truck but not worth the hassle to me.

:(
