best air ride susp. setup for your buck...
 

hi, i really want to get air ride for my truck and was wondering what the best one was? or let me rephrase that...what is the best one for the price? i have heard of fat man fabrication air ride. it seems to be in alot of magazines...is that one any good?

around how much would it cost to get a complete setup?

We need more info to help you out, namely how low do you want to go. If you are into bolt-on stuff, then look at Air Ride Tech, Porterbuilt, or CPP. The other option is to piece parts together from various vendors. Let us know what you want out of the suspension and we can better help you.

well, i dont really know how low i want to go. i like the look of about a 4, 6 drop. but i dont want to always have it there. i live on east texas dirt roads and will not be able to get home if it stays at the 4, 6...

im not sure about the bolt on stuff...ive never done anything like this, which is the best? what is the other options besides bolting?

If you've "never done anything like this" meaning you've never done much 'custom' stuff, stick w/a bolt-on set-up. AirRide, ECE, & CPP all offer quality stuff.

For AirRide, air suspensions are their reason for existence. They build stuff that offers basic drops (up to about 8") that typically don't require cutting your truck up.

Cost is relative. With ART, you spend more but it's like a life size model, you just connect all the pieces. Other manufacturers offer similar parts but require you to have a better working knowledge of air suspensions to take advantage on the costs involved.

If you know the parts you need, search the web for the best deals & piece a kit together. If you don't know what you need, google AirRide Tech & search for your vehicle.
