My weight
I was wonder if any nody knew the weight of my pickup. It is a 69 C/10, 2 wheel drive. Factory with a 292 l6 (not anymore)does anyone know how much it weighs.
mine weighs 3760...no rear bumper and some light weight aluminum goodies....its got a 350 in it
The longhorn weighs 4020, gased up & less driver......she on 1/2 ton suspension, & pretty stripped....:)
My 69 SWB Fleet side GMC with a 350/TH350 weighs in just shy of 4000 pounds.
Still trying to figure that one out. |
umm...andy..you need to get out of the truck.. lol
LOL!
Actually, I just dipped below 200 pounds myself...and I was out of the truck! |
My 1979 C/20, 350/350 combo weighed in at 5120 pounds. I think I had full tanks of gas but I am not sure.

maybe the GMCs(with all of that pretty front chrome) just weigh a little more than da-chevys
It does seem odd that a shortwb truck would weigh that much.......are you guys sure you took all the rocks out of your pockets?:D
LOL Al!
I'll say I did have a wagon wheel spare in back, and a small bottle jack and maybe 25 pounde of ca-ca in the box I had in the back, plus I do have a porky calss 4 hitch... but I also have light weight wheels, headers, and an alluminum intake, which all weigh a fraction of the stock stuff. |

Anyone have an idea on what a 72 3/4 ton 4x4 350/350 would weigh?
i weighed in at local gravel pits and at scrap yard in peoria several times in the first chevy pickup i ever had, 68 C-10 350 th350 longfleet and it weighed 3850 with me in it. thats right on target for what GM lists in their specs tables for these, they list 3500-3600's for shortwheel 2wd's, but thats shipping weight no fluids, so.,,

You left a little bit of info out, but here's what the dealer's sales data says for base models:
'69 c10 swb stepside six = 3447 '69 c10 swb fleetside six = 3527 '69 c10 lwb stepside six = 3536 '69 c10 lwb fleetside six = 3631 '69 c10 swb stepside eight = 3570 '69 c10 swb fleetside eight = 3651 '69 c10 lwb stepside eight = 3643 '69 c10 lwb fleetside eight = 3743 Options would add weight. |

Of course, my truck does have factory air, power brakes, and power steering...I dunno, does an extra 300lbs sound right when adding on the weight for fluids, power steering, power brakes, A/C, an automatic, and subtracting the weight of a spare and aluminum intake? *shrug* I need to weigh my truck again. |

Here we go...I found it.
my 69 long fleet, coil and BB weighed in at 4600, what a fat bugger, but it's got a heavy rear bumper and oak bed so i guess it's tubby. the stickers said 4060 weight from factory... wonder what added 500+ lbs when i only put in new wood.... perhaps an innacurate scale at the dump..
hey Longhorn, I believe you on the weight......just had to razz you a little:D
Don't know what mine weighs. A lot less...since a whole bunch of it is off now.
One thing on Andy's GMC...those ponty rat blocks weigh in a bit more than a chevy SB from what I remember. |

My '71 GMC 1500 weighed 2375Kg, or 5225lbs at the weigh scale, but wouldn't really count as I had a load going to the dump!
Hey, aren't you Brian Wolf's dad????
The GMC does in fact have a Chevy 350... the Longhorn had the Ponticrap and now has the Caddy engine.
dont understand that andy..6772king had his 67 short step..427 , 400 t. weighed and it came in at a tad over 3800..and thats with steel heads , tunnel ram 2 4's,steel wheels,etc...i think your gmc has been sneaking cookies at night
