Ah yes....NOW TO PAY MY RENT: ONE 40 Dollar parts washer(less solvent), and one clean garage(well half anyway where the motor will be)...to be cont'd! HA thanks Bob for the jump on this build and for the ride to get that thing. Too bad steve didn't have a couple more laying around. I may have to go back and get that glide...

Well we tried the EdelJunk that was on the old motor to make sure it worked and well the name said it all for us tonight. I guess I will wait for my adapter to show up on Friday so I can get my Quadrajet bolted up! Thanks again Bob for the effort. We'll see if I can get to the MEET yet!?

Yeah no more endless hours at the wash tank

Re: Shawn57nomad's New motor build

More on the motor...Late model one piece rear main we traded off the old 4 bolt and got a killer deal on it...Bob can elaborate more on that, flat tops, Isky bumpy stick(Neat Noisemaker!), Edelbrock Air Gap, Q-Jet to Squarebore adapter, New Double roller timing set, Clevite Brgs, Hastings Rings, Felpro Gaskets, Brad Penn break in oil (definitely worth the money), Rev Lube cam break in, MSD coil and Module, and plenty of time spent cleaning and painting to get it nice. I did speak too soon earlier when I said I would no longer be standing at the wash tank..Oh well! It was definitely all worth it, Especially the Stall converter...been told no no by the local law enforcement already. HEHEHEHE!
Well anyway here is some more...Me, Bob, and my other buddy Adam who consumed most, if not all, the barley pop in the shop fridge...only an hour out with the motor and in with the new. It was so quick I thought that we had more to do at the time and the old motor was still hot and steaming on the stand as the other got buttoned up for the rest of the night for the following afternoon.
