do I save build #s on firewall?
1 Attachment(s)
I think the #s and markings on firewall are from assembly, does anyone bother trying to save these, I am going to get this truck out of storage soon, put some newer Michelins on it and clean it...... it may never be concours restore or anything but wanted to know someone elses thoughts.

Tkae good pics so you can put them back when you are done.

Re: do I save build #s on firewall?
I agree with the pics but I only see putting them back if the truck is a concours resto.

Re: do I save build #s on firewall?
my truck has them as well. I have hit them pretty hard with the pressure washer and they still exist quite readable. maybe try some dish soap and a wash rag for that area and then mask it off with a drop cloth before the blasting.
is this "little buddy's" truck? bring over the pressure washer, I could use it on my driveway and also for the land cruiser. |
Re: do I save build #s on firewall?
Concours d'Elegance restorations only. Take pics and then trace them using clear mylar to be exact. You never know if they will be of some value to the new owner some day. It will increase his perception of value if you retain them in your restoration file.
