Re: manes truck parts?

I picked up the hog ring pliers and rings at a local Auto upholstery shop.

You'll need about 150 hog rings for a bench... I had a pack of 100 and it's wasn't enough to do the job right!

when i spoke with them to get the sample colors they seemed more than helpful. that is one of the reasons i wanted to ask if anyone had dealt with them. cause if their products are as good as their service then they have a customer in me. anyone else got any pics of seat covers from them?

Great to deal with.

Re: manes truck parts?

People who frequent the board tent to support the board vendors since the parts are often the same and the well, board vendors are part of the community. That way when they do good or bad, we compliment or kill them.

Then again, with shipping costs so high, think about ordering in-state or out to save sales tax, or shipping. Don't pay both!

Re: manes truck parts?

Assuming they are the ones out of the Kansas City area I've bought a few things from them in the past at a local swap meet that they attend each year. They seem to be pretty good to deal with but I think their prices are about the same as the board vendor prices last time I compared a few parts.

i used to drive to kansas city just to buy things at their store. They had a store front with all new parts and just about all used parts that you would want, He also had used trucks (at least 5 or 6) every time i went up there, everything from projects to 20K rides.

But tracy is the guy's wife, the owner's name is Ron Manes

Re: manes truck parts?

i agree about buying things off of board members. and if any would step up and say they had some seat covers and gimme the prices and such and maybe a picture of a sample of their stuff i would be more than willing to give my support to those in the community. the only problem i have is the lack of pictures or samples from those vendors. I mean no disrespect by asking about another company or provider. they had good prices and they could send me a sample and had pictures of their product. any good buisness should know a person is going to want to buy something they can see. not just a listiing with a price.
and that is one of the reasons i was asking for around about them. to a see if they had a good product and b to see if anyone recomended any of the vendors on here.

It has been a while since I bought stuff from them, but whenever I did, they were great to work with.
