sticky throttle

I just adjusted my choke (rochester dueljet 210) and my fast idle. Now when I blip the throttle it takes quite a wile for it to ruturn to idle, my cable has been toast since I bought it but has never given me any problems. Has my cable just suddenly strted giving me problems or is it possibly something else? Phahaps I used the wrong proceedure adjusting the fast idle.

Welcome to the board.

I though Q-jets had the choke/idle screw on the same side. The throttle idle is on the driver side while the choke is on the passengerside. If you closed your choke, it will take longer for the idle to drop.

I do belive you are correct sir. I do have the one on the pass. side under the choke houseing unscrewed rather far, but I've replaced the throttle cable with a nice junkyard peice for 1/5 of the price of one new, and now the throttle is great though a little slippery. Everything is real nice.............
