Try the 16.5 X 8.25 wheel cover question again!

I have these wheels and need the dog dish caps for them but I don't even know what they look like. These wheels had clips so something must have gone on them. The clips measure near 7 inches or so and here is a pic. Please post me a pic of what is supposed to be there and maybe I can find them. Thanks to the greatest forum in the world!

I thought the 16.5 wheels were the dangerous split rims.

Anyway, most of the hubcaps I've seen for our trucks don't require clips on the wheels. I've never seen them like that.

X2 on the split rims, supposed to be dangerous when mounting and dismounting.

Were those stock wheels on any of the 67-72s? I have never seen those. (that doesn't mean anything)

16.5's weren't split wheels. Actually to my knowledge, non of the .5 wheels were split wheels. Most of 16's were, the 17's were, and the 18's were split wheels. The 16.5's, 17.5's, and 19.5's were all regular wheels. I have at least one of every example from these trucks, that's how all mine are anyway.

I have a set of 4 and they don't have those clips. They do have the holes where the rivets would of been. I have always been under the impression that they did not use hub caps on these wheels

What kind of caps do yours sport? Any 4 X 4's in the lot?

I have a set on my 67 with the clips. I think they only came on 67 and 68.
