New from Springfield, MO
Hello all! New guy here from beautiful Springfield, MO. I will be picking up my 1970 CST from my girlfriend's dad in about a week, so wish me luck on my first classic truck...
Good thing he will be helping, since he builds and races dirt track and drag cars. :metal: |

Re: New from Springfield, MO
Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
Now, I begin the brain picking... Does anyone know of a reputable website or place where I could find out production numbers, options, and any or all basic information about the 70 CST? Also, does anyone have advice for a first timer? I am totally new to the game, since my only real work I have done on autos had stemmed from replacing a 77 Oldsmobile front end body and wiring with a 78 front end body and wiring as a result of a pretty bad crash when I was 16. Thanks in advance! |
Re: New from Springfield, MO
A couple of things,
I am sorry to say that the 70 CST I was planning on getting is going to be out of the question for me, because of issues with not having a motor or transmission and not having the $ right now to find said items. Which brings me to my next point, if anyone knows of a 69-72 chevy in the southwest Missouri area that runs and is reasonably priced (does not have to be pretty), I would be interested in any and all information you could give me, since I will be on the lookout from now on. Oh, and if you are interested in a 70 CST that has a lot done to it, but does not come with motor or tranny, pm me and I will forward you information. Thanks in advance and it's great to be a part of this board, even though I don't have a ride yet. ---Josh |

Re: New from Springfield, MO
I don't have pics of the 70, but I think I can come up with some pretty easily in the next week or so.
Thanks for the welcome messages as well. ---Josh |
