mounting valves near heat???????
The way i have all my air ride setup has me mounting the billet valve manifold about 2" away from the compressor... and tonight is the first time i've turned the compressor on, it gets HOT!!! I mean hot enough to burn you, so now im a little concerend with mounting the valves right new to it, but maybe worrying about nothing, anyone wana chime in and help me???

I've done a few under hood installs that worked out ok. One was an eclipse that was pretty tight and no problems. I think your lines would fail before the valves.
Early in my days of baggin stuff ( about 12 years ago) I did an S-10 with this white vinyl tubing that was used for the air actuated roll-up doors on a car wash bay. the exhaust exited the muffler with a down turn right in front of the rear axle and melted a hole in a line for a rear bag. Switched it out to DOT synflex line and wrapped it with old peice of heater core hose and NEVER had another problem. If you're really concerned, better safe than sorry, look into a heat shield tin between the two but you should be fine. josh |
