Maybe Lower

i am lookin to lower my truck more than just a 5/7 drop. i have lowering springs and spendals in the front and flip kit and c-section and shackles in the rear. i am lookin to low the rear more by 3-4 inches by means of hangers, and then cut the lowering coils in the front to even it out. but as of now my bed is ALMOST hitting the frame. if i lower it more (3-4 inches) in the rear, will i have to cut part of the bed? or is this even possiable to lower it more by this?

Honestly i'd leave it as it is or put it on airride. I think you'll have a terrible ride with it that low and it will just be a pain to drive. I'd go air with the drop your looking for.

yea i agree, thats what i was gonna do then i thought about how much money i have in it already, and 150 bucks is alot less then 1500 for airride.

That it is... I know the feeling, but it is well worth it, believe me.

a bodydrop??? IMO would be out of the question for your application.. it is alot of work..

In short, you have to cut the floor of the cab outside of the framerail and lower the body. and you have to cut the frame horns and lower the entire radiator support with the cab. and teh same for the bed..

its just too much work for a few inches if your not going to put it all the way on the ground..

I would do air ride first

I agree on airride first, but a stock floor bodydrop isn't that hard on these trucks. Under the cab you can get a little over an inch if I remember right by lowering cab mounts.
