Seat is done! I need a tilt!! more pics

That is a tight fit between the wheel & seat!! But I believe I can deal with it. I like the factory wheel. Backed it out and hosed the dust off just before nightfall.

Seat looks great. Did you do it yourself or have it done?

that does look good.
I wish they made the stock style wheel, but in a smaller diameter... 15 or even 13 inch. I'd consider installing one of those.

I wish they would have put smaller wheels on the power steering optioned trucks, since you really don't need a 17" wheel. For a manual steering truck, I would not trade it as the larger wheel made it easier to turn, especially when stopped or moving very slow.

Nice truck BTW.

well its been proven that you can cut the ring off the wheel and make a smaller diameter ring.. weld it back and do some filler work/paint :chevy: Chip foose did something similar

Botietruck, your interior is coming along nicely and looks real nice. Here are a few "teaser" pics for you in regard to your posting title... It is not for sale as it was restored and sold to a customer in CA. I had the paint shop custom tint some ppg base to match the green repro wheel perfectly. :chevy:

Thanks for the comments! The pic makes it look closer to the seat than it really is. As far as the tilt goes, I would need a manual tilt column, you know the ones I'm talking about, they're as rare as hen's teeth. LOL.

bw4sale, I did the seat myself, I took the center passenger springs from a donor seat and replaced about 12 springs on the driver side. Installed 4 of the end spring replacements that LMC sells. I lined the back of both cushions with burlap...used the 3M upholstery glue, and then added a 1" piece of super dense foam on the top side of the seat cushion..used the same glue on that piece as well. That really made a nice firm seat. I can post pics later. Also used an old article from Classic Trucks as a reference.

Your truck looks good. No bed? Well you're half done. ;)
On that steering wheel sizing. It seems to me there was an article in one of the mags a while back on that. It looks to be a lot of work but can be done if you just have to have that stock appearance.
