Hood repair sheet metal

Does anyone make a repair section for the lower front section of the hood on a 66 C10? I can't seem to find another hood that isn't rotted out in the same place. The lower section on the front of the hood and the corners are pretty rotted too.

Thanks
Justin

There is a guy that sells this piece on ebay every now and then, I think he had one listed this week.
I do think that cars inc, or dynacorn makes a patch panel for the piece as well.

I have considered do it that way but if I can find a decent repro I will buy to to save myself some time.

I checked the Cars, Inc and Dynacorn site but neither show that section. In fact, the Cars, Inc site skips 60-66 trucks altogether.

classic industries?
I saw a fullk page ad showing the front section , and I think a full repro hood as well, I remember thinking why spend all that time and labor on a patch, when you could just buy a whole hood...

The upper entire front is now being produced but not the lower that I am aware of. We sell the upper from TriPlus for $175.00. Kind of expensive. The hoods are hard to find in good shape but if you just need the lower section its not as hard. We find plenty of banged up ones where the bottom is ok

I don't know of anyone reproducing a complete steel hood right now. You would have to go F/G. Some of the others may know a good source. We do not sell any f/g parts

Well you have basically 3 choices:

http://www.usbody.com

http://www.up22.com

http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com

I haven't bought from any of these yet, but I've heard some negative feedback on US Body's parts.
