Lookin' good. Looks to be pretty solid.

Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
Thanks. It has its fair share of rust, mostly the floorpans.

Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
Nice work! The rear doesnt seem to have a lot of lift. Have u tried
those triple convulted bags? I got some (not installed) they seem to get u around 3-4 more inches of lift because of the extra convultion. I will try those on mine (when the time comes) or I just might install the bags closer to the trailing arm crossmember to get a good lift. :smoke: |

Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
Its a friend of mines truck. I just do the work on it. He had already bought all the parts before we decided how the setup was gonna be. I didn't want to mount them towards the front of the trailing arms because There wouldn't be much room to work and I wouldn't be able to weld on top. I was gonna mount them right at the front of the notch but it wouldn't get as low. So I mounted them there so it would get as low as possible. It rides pretty good though.

Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
what are the specs on the wheels? tires? are they tucked completely inside the fenders? are they centerline smoothies? i got a set on my blazer they dont tuck that far are there any clearance issues?
|
Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
Im not sure on the exact specs of the wheels. I know he just bought them off of ebay for cheap so Im sure he doesn't know the specs. All I know is they are 20's with 45 series tires I believe. They tuck well. Is yours bagged?

Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
Not sure really. I think his next task is gonna be putting a big block in it.
|
Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
yeah im bagged but i had to trim the fenders with the 45 series tires so i went to a 35 series
|
Re: Bagged '69 Suburban
The fenders are trimmed as much as they can be without cutting into the hood hinge. Looks good.
