I have Edelbrock multipoint fuel injection 2 barrel system. It was a nightmare to set-up, for me. Not easy at all. Also when it first starts up it hesitates until it goes into its open loop mode or whatever. I think I didn't get quite the right chip. I've never heard a whole lot good about them since I bought it a couple years ago. It also doesnt handle the drop from park to drive very well seems to surge alot. I've finally got it to a point that it runs pretty good after its warmed up. Its has been reliable though. I'm going to try it in my 71 its going to be a manual.

I have the four barrel version and it runs fine but I thought it should get a lot better milage. I'm getting 12 mpg towing my boat

What cam?
How did your installation go compared to Hchad18's issues?

The GM RamJet system works great for me. I didn't do the install, but it's a plug and play system.

I have the isky RV towing cam. Pretty easy installation for me hardest part was putting the return lines into the tanks and hooking up the fuel tank switch. The thing is hard to tune but I would take it out and drive write down the RPM,fuel pressure, vac then call Edlebrock and they told me how to adjust the computor. Kind of a pain but the truck is a hobby

go with tuned port injection. speed density is very simple and i have used it plenty of times. no hassles no trouble.

Re: Fuel Injection

I have in it the edelbrock cam that is recommended for this setup. Dont get me wrong it took a lot to set it up but it was also the most economical way to go for multipoint fuel injection. It does run pretty well and once I stopped worrying about fuel economy and bumped up the fuel because I wasn't driving it everyday its a monster. I got around 13-15 mpg, but its a brick at 70mph. It will make a great motor for my 71.
