1988 suburban to a 1977 suburban
 

Hi,
I just got a rust free 1988 burb, 3/4 ton 4x4 from Phx. I want to use the frame and body with a 1977 dog house (fenders, rad support, hood, grill and bumper). Will this be a big problem? Thanks in advance, Tom

In addition to the front end, I'm planning on removing the 350/400turbo/241transfer and replace it with my 454/400/203. I know the crossmember is different and most likely will need to be relocated. I'm assuming that my old one will work. Would the engine mount need to be relocated for the big block? I know theres a difference between the rubber mounts, but don't know about the frame mounts. I'm also going to use my current dash and dash pad-everything works and no cracks. I drove the 88 into work today, (around 40 miles) one of the guys I work with bought the 350 TBI (with harness and computer) for $500. The truck really drives nice compared to my 77. But, it also likes the fuel. Thanks, Tom
