bedside caps
i got one of my bedsides back from the sand blaster yesterday and started the replacement of the bedside caps... you can see it here http://jcox.tumblr.com/
they are nice quality parts and fit really well! i think its going to be a pretty easy job... the hardest part so far has been getting the rear stake pocket out (which i did before it went to the sandblaster) so you can get to the spot welds to remove the original cap. i still need to finish the inside of the stake pocket area and weld it back in but i will keep you guys posted if you are interest! |

Re: bedside caps
Nice work and thanks for the info. We always like to hear how parts fit. We install as many as we can but have not installed any of these yet. We sell the same part but have not had the bedside to put them on to see. Looks real good

Re: bedside caps
Wish I had known about those caps two years ago before we spent hours repairing ours...

Re: bedside caps
i have updated the build thread... last night i got the stake pocket welded in with no really problems, except the threaded bracket for the tailgate chain bolt... but that was an easy fix. i dont know if i am going to use the tailgate chains or use some hidden latches but if i do then the bracket is in the right spot.
