I've been pretty much hiding in the weeds watching all of you build your trucks for about 3 months now. I figured it was time to put mine up. Its a 65 SWB with a 80's 350 and a powerglide. Not much progress so far but at least I got it started. The old bed wood is out and the bed is off but I didn't have my camera. Fixing to start blasting back half. Its my first classic truck build so wish me luck..
P.S. The last pic is what i hope the end result turns out to be(sorry.. crappy cell phone pic of a remote control of my brothers but my vision none the less)....

Thanks for all the support.. I have a few questions... First, with the copper/white paint job do you think i should go just straight black with the chassis or something else(maybe silver)? Also, I have a 74 2wd blazer frame and I was wondering if the front disk brake set up will fit and what all I need to swap off of it? And one more, Will all the interals from the blazer rear axle fit in my 65 housing or do I have to swap out the whole thing?

I would paint the underside of the body, innet fenders and core support white. copper engine and frame/running gear.
that is if you are doing a show truck.... if just a driver, black would probably be ok.

The blazer suspension is exactly the same as a Pickup or Suburban suspension. So the complete setup including steering linkage and steering box can be adapted to your '65 As for the rear end, everything will fit your housing, including the brakes, but not the axles. The axles are ~ 3/4" longer than the '65 axles.
