Getting ready for a52
I'm going to look at a 1952 with no bed.
How do I find out if it a short or long? What are the measurements? He sez it is a 6 lug does that indicant a 3/4 ton? I need this to be armed rather than rely on well you guys know.........also I6 is a 235 how do I confirm that As you see I know nothing about this year. Got a 68 I know that one inside out;) Any help will be appreciated |
Re: Getting ready for a52
if i remember correct the short WB = 116.5"
235 will have bolts on the edge of the vavle cover, 216 has 2 stud/nuts on top good luck |
Re: Getting ready for a52
Are beds for these difficult to find. And what would be a reasonable price. The guy said he has fenders for it.Of course I'm here in Calif so might be a different market

6 lug = 1/2 ton
8 lug = 3/4 ton |

Re: Getting ready for a52
I believe that if it has a 6 lug pattern it's probably a swb. I think the long boxes all had 8 lugs. Not for sure though. My '54 3600 3/4 ton (5 window) started out life as a lwb with 8 lugs. It's now a 1/2 ton with 5 lugs and a short box.
