T-rods & B-joints Question

I have a '75 front x member hub to hub and I suspect that the tie rods and ball joints have been replaced not long before it was parked
Is there measurements that I can take from these components to confirm my suspisions.?
or will I have to install and just see how it FEELS
Not cheaping out,but if someone's already done it....why?
X member is not in truck yet.
Any help on this would be appreciated
Thanks,Trent

Re: T-rods & B-joints Question

Measurements, not really...what you really need to look for is movement. All of the joints should be tight and hopefully there is evidence of grease? Otherwise, you are just going to have to install it.

Re: T-rods & B-joints Question

Yes,there is gease boots are full but not overfull ,joints seem to be tight and smooth in thier movement, rubber boots are in exellent shape,no cracking or tears.
even sprung for a threaded tie rod remover that won't wreck the boots like my pickle fork would.
Thank you LH ,T
