Bed floor mods? (opinions wanted)

Anybody got any ideas for making room for the pumpkin or the rearend to come up past the bottom of the bedfloor. I'm trying to plan ahead for the future in case I want to go lower one day, and add a step notch ,or other susp. upgrades. Obviously I could raise the whole bed floor , which I think looks the best , but didn't really want to do all the work that takes. The other idea is to raise just the portion of the floor (all the way across) where a step notch would need to go, but I like the look of a stock floor. I don't want to just cut a hole and leave it open either. These are the only two ideas I've got. Any other suggestions?

I would raise the whole floor. I think it would look clean to get another bed floor and make the sides to the notch cover out of it. That way the shape of the floor just carries right over the notch.

As much as I'm not looking forward to it, it seems raising the whole floor is the cleanest looking idea.

this is what I did, I wanted to be able to carry our EZ-UP canopy, this allowa the canopy to slide down one side

My first choice would be to raise the entire floor. Scoti posted a great option as well. I have seen it where the front of the bed floor was at stock height, then raised over the notch area and stayed raised all the way back.

I like all of the options above. If you'll look at the thread Rokcrln has for the yellow Blazer there's a neat idea for just a bump for the pumpkin, just depends on how much room you need.

Yeah I see what you're talking about. The more I keep thinking about it ,if I know how things go I'll get my truck painted, and then decide it needs to be lower. So , I may as well just raise the floor and be done with it before I paint it. I'll start on it tomorrow.

Hey SCOTI, let me know when a good time to look at your floor setup would be.

Yeah right, that's way more than I want to do. Besides, I can't sell the floor as a "stock" floor , I just sectioned it 7" for my wheel tubs.

Will do , bagged69c10
