EXHAUST STACKS ? Who's seen'em ?
1 Attachment(s)
OK guys, I'm an old fart so I've been around a while and seen alot of stuff; back in the 50's, 60's, 70's it was cool to take the Corvette type side pipes and make stacks for your truck. In fact it was so popular that D_dge came out with the Lil'Red Express (see photo) and they had factory OEM STACKS !!!
_ I'm looking for some photos especially of trucks with stacks up through the bed; post what you got magazine photos, old car-show photos etc... thanks ! |
Re: EXHAUST STACKS ? Who's seen'em ?
I thought about that, and still plan on doing that to my truck.
Kinda more like a rat-rod look with some pipes out the front of the bed.....mabey using a diverter valve with some flame throwers.... We will see. - - |
Re: EXHAUST STACKS ? Who's seen'em ?
When I was a kid, our neighbor across the street had a 56 Chevy pickup with an Olds 455 that had stacks... Looked cool on a stepside! And it was the style in the 70's and early 80's. Wish I had pics...

There's one on ebay right now. A '62 looks pretty cool. I was going to post some pic, but my dumb ass can't figure out how to down size them. One of you computer guys will have to do it, sorry.
