Good straight 1/2 ton SWB rolling chassis, originally I6 truck, somebody hacked the I6 mount to install a V8. Previous owner pulled the PS box, engine and trans, including V8 engine stands. The disc brake front end, is missing one caliper. The rear axle has been swapped at one time (still 5 lug). P.O. said that he did this because the original rear that was in the truck with the I6 was "too low" and that he had swapped it for a "higher gear". I have not pulled the rear cover, so unknown gear ratio and posi/ non posi status. Brake and fuel lines are present, but rusty as they have been in the weather for a while. I have installed the rear panhard bar since the pics were taken. Rally wheels shown on rear of truck have also been replaced with 2 "Hurricane" aluminum wheels matching those on the front of the truck. Frame only has a small amount of gunk on the front cross member. Will clean up easy. $500, as is where is, no shipping or parting out. Buyer must arrange all details, cash on the barrel head!

I am not where I can take pics of the actual mounts for a few days. It is not really needed anyway, since you can see them in the pics I posted. What is left of the 6 cylinder mounts are located midway between the front A arms and the front cab mounts, on the inside of the frame, on each side. (I will post a pic of another frame I have for sale (Bare, $250) that still has a 6 cylinder engine mount , for comparison. On the rolling chassis, whenever the P.O. installed a V8, he cut away enough of the mount to install the engine. The correct way to do this is to grind an "X" into the head of the rivet and use a punch to drive the rivet out, or if you are handy with a torch, cut the heads of the rivets. Since the cab was on the truck when the P.O. swapped engines, it did not get done "right". Now that the body is off, I would remove the remnants of the 6 cylinder mounts before painting it. It has absolutely no effect on the structural integrity of the truck, and the 6 cylinder mounts would have to be removed anyway if you were going to run a V8. If running a 6 cylinder, you will need to find a good 6 cylinder engine mount to install on this frame. ***Please post questions here and also PM any questions ***
