flipping crossmember on new one

i was wondering the pros and cons on flipping the crossmember for the trailing arms or ordering one from ece with the exhaust holes. i can weld the rings in no problem, i was just wondering if it was worth the money and the effects on pinion angle on both. oh yea i do have a carrier bearing in the truck. thanks fellas.
