Does anyone know how many splines most half ton front axles have? Are posi and nonposi axles usually the same? I heard 30; just wondered if anyone could confirm...

your right they are 30 spline as for the posi being diff i'v never seen any thing other than 30 spline so i don't think they are where is manchester at close to grove city?????? mabey we could tear up some mud sometime!!!!! and if i get stuck you can pull me out

Thanks, 6772 king! I wasn't sure if it was 28 or 30... Sorry, Manchester is about 200 miles near Maryland and It's gona be a while before the 71 Blazer is roadworthy again...but you can't let a good and faithful truck for 20 years go to the scrap heap! MY garage with used hydraulic lift will be finished soon and I can get to work on the Blazer. Thanks again for the info!
